Description

Often people commence an Asana practice with the expectation that the condition of their knees will improve through Asanas.  While it is important to rest knees (or indeed any other part of the body) that has been through recent trauma, the strengthening work is a crucial part of the healing process.  This involves getting back on the legs, and re-learning how to use the knees.  Often knee pain comes back as soon as knees are bent – while doing simple everyday activities like climbing steps, or even in Asana positions.  Some basic understanding and diagnosis of ones own knee is essential to improve the health of the knee.  This session continues with some principles of visual diagnostics, and then teaches one of the most fool-proof strategies to strength the knees without feeling pain the in the knee.  We try this strategy out in a couple of standing Asanas

This session is suitable even for beginners: both the diagnosis and the corrective actions are demonstrated simply and clearly.
