This before-walking routine will help prepare the legs, hips, arms and shoulders for walking. It will also help identify and sensitise imbalances and mis-alignments in the legs and feet, so you can be attentive towards these parts while walking. Although recommended as an before-walking routine, this can be done at any time of the day – and is a gentle but energising practice by itself. This version has detailed demonstrations and instructions. Do this first, and when comfortable with the instructions, move on the to the follow-along version. Suitable to be done by those with no experience in asana practice.
