A Woman’s Practice: Gentle and Progressive Abdominal Toning Useful for Post-natal/ Post-menstrual Times (Short Course; Level: Intermediate)

1,596.00 for 1 month

This short Course on abdominal toning is useful for everyone, but is especially useful for women during post-partum phase.

The sessions in this Course are indicative rather than prescriptive.   It is not recommended to start an asana practice immediately after child birth.  A few weeks gap in case of a vaginal delivery, and even longer in case of a C-section is advised. Those who had any complication during their pregnancy should seek the advice of their doctors before starting on an exercise program.  This is not a Beginner level Course.  Those with no prior experience of an asana practice are advised to seek advise from a qualified instructor, not just to learn these asanas, but also to gauge their appropriateness for the individual.  For experienced practitioners, it is recommended that sufficient time be spent in the simpler positions before proceeding for the next levels.

Part 1, 2 and 3 Use  asanas  for gently and progressively toning the abdominal area – for organic and muscular health
Part 4 is a follow-along sessions with minimal instructions

Not only is the new mother physically depleted, her abdominal region needs to recover from the stress of child bearing and needs to be toned up, she needs physical and emotional strength to look after the new-born. Often, the new mother might feel depressed and exhausted, and the practice also needs to help her recover emotionally, and provide much needed rest.
